
Meet The Team

Rachel Brenna
Executive Director
Rachel has two main passions in life: wellness and storytelling. She has experience in many areas of media including radio, theater, publishing, and independent film. As a lover of fitness, she has also managed dance studios in Southern California, and owned a studio of her own here in NJ. She is honored to lead The Community Well as it embarks on its path of expansion. Rachel is passionate about embodiment, the mind-body-spirit connection to health, and wants everyone to keep their bodies moving. She is a graduate of USC and Columbia University. When not working, she is usually in a fitness class or spending time with her dogs, Maisie and Parker.

Sarah Finbow
Communications & Marketing Manager
Sarah Finbow was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs and has her Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. She has worked in nonprofit communications and marketing since 2018 and is currently also on staff at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville.
In addition to spending as much time with her family as possible, Sarah loves to garden and is a dedicated Congenital Heart Disease advocate.

Karen Buda
Program Director
Karen has worked with The Community Well since its initial inception in 2017, and currently serves as Program Director. A graduate of Smith College, she attended the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University of Management where she received her MBA, with specializations in Health Services Management, Marketing and Policy/Planning. Working for more than 25 years in health services administration, Karen served as the Postgraduate Administrative Fellow at the Mass General Hospital, as well as in management positions at Thomas Jefferson University and Princeton Healthcare System. She lives in Hopewell, NJ with her architect husband, Paul, and has a son in college. She’s been a member of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville since 2013.
Board of Directors
Roy Baldassari
Roy had a 30-year career in market research consulting before retiring as a Sr. V.P. at GfK International. Prior to that he was a full-time professor of Marketing for three years. Roy was involved in the PCOL Listening Campaign in 2014 that led to the creation of The Community Well. Then in 2021 he joined the Community Well Task Force that Reverend Vamos formed to revitalize the organization post-Covid. After four years, this Task Force evolved to form the Community Well Board of Directors, on which Roy is happy to serve.
Jack Cohen
Jack is Treasurer of Temple Micah a member of the Advisory Board of Living Well, and a member of the Video Tech Team at Temple Micah. He is an attorney at Goldberg Segalla, with offices in New York City and Princeton. Jack loves spending time with his wife, who is an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville. He is a creative writer, a movie buff, and a reader of history
Elizabeth Ferguson
Elizabeth is an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville and also serves on the boards of the Lawrence Township Community Foundation and Lawrence Neighbors Together. She is the director of community service, a history teacher and advisor at the Lawrenceville School. She loves spending time with her husband and daughters. In her free time you can find her reading a book, walking in nature, or meeting with people for spiritual direction. Elizabeth also serves as chair of the Program Committee of The Community Well.
Suzanne Fobare
Born and raised in New Jersey, Suzanne is a long-time resident of Lawrenceville and member of PCOL. She and her husband Bill have raised their sons here, both of whom graduated from Lawrence High School. Suzanne has worked as a quality engineer for a medical device company for more than 30 years and her husband retired from Rider University, where he was a professor. She has served as the committee chair for the Scouts BSA troops sponsored by PCOL and serves on the boards of Deacons and The Community Well.
Pam Ford
Pam retired after a rewarding, 40+ years in nursing. She started out as a Critical Care RN, but has spent the last 25 years of her career delivering Primary Care as an Adult/Gero NP. During those years, she also worked as Adjunct Clinical Faculty with TCNJ’s Graduate Nursing Program. A long time Lawrenceville resident and PCOL member, Pam is currently serving as an Elder at PCOL, and on the Programming Committee and the Health Advisory Group of The Community Well.
Rich McLaughlin
Rich is a small business coach and a believer in practices that create effective teams and healthy work cultures. He has been a member of PCOL for the last 15 years and is Dad to sons Sean (26) and Quinn (22), and dog Dixie.
Ed Morrison, Treasurer
Ed has been a member of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville since 2004. He is an accounting manager at PSE&G where he has worked for 37 years. In his free time he enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with his daughter.
Ted Simpson
Ted and his wife are long-time members of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville. He volunteers with the Work Well Partnership and also teaches English as a second language. Ted serves as Vice President of Global Marketing at Hammond Power Solutions. He is a proud father of three and, in his free time, enjoys staying active, practicing Spanish and reading a good book.
David Sung
David was born in China and raised in Taiwan. After his undergraduate studies, he moved to the United States and met his future wife, Linda, while they were students at Carnegie Mellon University. David and Linda have lived in Lawrenceville for more than 40 years and raised their two daughters here. David worked in the aerospace and telecommunications industries for 35 years, where he managed functional organizations and customer programs. David has also served as a deacon, president of the Board of Deacons, elder and Clerk of Session, as well as supporting fundraising efforts, at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville.
The Reverend Doctor Jeffrey Vamos, Board President, Head of Church
Jeff Vamos originally hails from Indiana and graduated from Duke University, both of which explain his love for basketball. He received his Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in New York City, and met his wife Catherine at a soup kitchen in Brooklyn, where he served in parish ministry for six years. Prior to arriving in New Jersey, Jeff served First Presbyterian Church of Palo Alto, CA for 11 years, where he was immersed in community organizing and youth ministry, and where he discovered his love for woodworking and fiction writing. Jeff and Catherine have a son, Will, who works in NYC. Jeff has served as the Senior Pastor/Head of Staff at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville since 2005 and he completed his Doctor of Ministry degree at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC in 2014
TCW is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville. It has it's own Board of Directors and governance. While founded by a church, the Well is designed to support ALL who are seeking wellness of body, mind, spirit, and community!
